A Foster's Australia employee, Cuu Huynh, died in hospital yesterday following serious injuries sustained in an incident at Abbotsford Brewery last Thursday, 13 April.
The incident occurred in the bottling area of the plant during operating hours. No other employees were injured. Emergency services have attended the scene and Foster's is co-operating fully with Worksafe Victoria and other authorities and conducting a thorough internal investigation of the incident.
Foster's deeply regrets the incident and the thoughts of all at Foster's are with Cuu Huynh's family, friends and colleagues at this time.
