Foster's announces result of agency review

Melbourne, 23 April 2007

Foster's Australia, Asia & Pacific announces the appointment of Clemenger BBDO to handle two of its market leading beer brands, Carlton Draught and Pure Blonde, and the appointment of Badjar Ogilvy to handle Crown Lager. Both appointments are effective immediately. All three brands were previously held by George Patterson Y&R.

The decision to reshape how its brands are serviced follows a period of significant growth for the company. With a portfolio comprising some of the country's best known and loved names in wine, beer, spirits, cider and non alcohol and it has become a necessity to spread the brands more evenly across the existing agency roster.

"Each brand has unique requirements which led to us splitting the three brands across two agencies," said Peter Sinclair, Foster's General Manager, Beer. "We are very excited at the prospect of working with both agencies and look forward to harnessing our collective passion for these brands to create truly outstanding campaigns," Sinclair continued.

Foster's will continue its longstanding relationship with George Patterson Y&R which is the custodian of a number of the company's brands including its biggest and most profitable brand, VB.
